- How do I access my website?
Welcome to Big Easy Web Hosting! Here's how to get started using your new Big Easy Web Hosting hosting account. We'll start by assuming that you have just created a brand new Big Easy Web Hosting account using our setup process and have already received your account setup letter containing important account information such as your account username and password. If you have not received your account activation letter containing this key information, please contact our support department immediately.
One of the first things that every new account user should know is that for a few days after your original signup date, you will have to access your domain in a web browser temporarily via the IP address and your username (example http://216.64.142.214/~username/), not your new domain name (Web address). Notice the tilde (squiggly line) in front of your username. THAT MUST BE THERE. Your new or transferred domain name can take a few days to function due to the fact that Online NIC, Network Solutions or other domain name registrars, must register and propagate the name across the entire Internet. This can take from 3-5 days for new domains, and 4-7 days for domain name transfers. To test the domain, simply type it into a Web browser and see if your account comes up.

- How do I upload my web pages to my website?
You can upload your files using ftp - just use the username and password in your setup email to login to your ftp account.
The host name/address will be a series of numbers divided by periods. It will be something like this: 216.64.142.214 (This, or something similar to this, is the IP address of your ftp server).
Probably the best free ftp software is SmartFTP which you can get HERE .
There are tutorials and support forums at SmartFTP's website that will teach you everything you need to know about ftp.
There is another even easier way to upload files: Login to your cPanel control panel, and click File Manager. This lists the files on your Big Easy server, and to upload files just click upload files.
